Mike and I met in the winter semester of 2013 when we took AD 217 together, but didn't really start getting to know each other until towards the end.
Mike has type 1 diabetes. A lot of his photographic work that he has done has been influenced by it, as well as helping to raise awareness for those who have it as well.
I would say how hard he pushes himself. Mike's work is phenomenal, and I think he's his own biggest critic. But many talented artists / designers are just like that and usually that's what helps them create extraordinary work.
Mike, it's been great getting to know you better this year. I'm stoked that you chose me to help design your logo for you. You're a really talented kid and I hope to see you around Marquette this summer so we can chill.
