Josue and I met in creative writing class last semester. I don't know what it was about that class, but it was one of those classes where everyone really bonded.
I had seen Josue around the art building before, but didn't really know who he was. One day we sat down before English class and discussed our majors and what kind of art we liked. I would say that was the first time I got to know Josue and we hit it off fairly quickly after that.
Squirliness. One day I had no idea what to write about in class, and Josue showed up late, so I named my protagonist Josue the Squirrel after him and wrote a short story about a squirrel who failed out of art school. It was a big hit, and after that the class would jokingly refer to Josue as being a squirrel.
Josue, I'm glad you waited until I graduated before peacing out from NMU. It's been awesome getting to know you this past year. I wish I would of met you sooner. you're a real cool guy and I'll be sad to see you leave, but good luck next year dude!
